In collaboration with AWS, Intel, and Polygon, Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) recently launched the first phase of BLR Metaport, the world’s first metaverse experience for an airport.
The BLR Metaport, a product of the Joint Innovation Center (JIC), will provide travelers, businesses, and the general public with an immersive 3D virtual experience of Bangalore Airport’s newly opened Terminal 2 via wearable VR headsets and popular web browsers. BIAL established JIC earlier this year in collaboration with AWS, Intel, and Polygon to drive the development and adoption of cutting-edge digital solutions in aviation.
The metaverse experience provides airport users with new and engaging ways to interact, from flight check-in and terminal navigation to shopping and social aspects such as connecting with fellow passengers. Flyers can already explore photo-realistic spaces such as an art gallery and a meeting room, and there is significant potential to expand the experience to include learning, gaming, entertainment, and skill development.

Former President Donald Trump announced the release of 45,000 fantasy non-fungible tokens (NFT) on Thursday through Truth Social, the social media site he founded last year.
The Trump Digital Trading Cards, according to the collection’s website, feature images of the president in the style of collectible baseball cards. The Polygon tokens cost $99 and can be purchased with ether (ETH) or fiat currency.
Collectors who buy one of the digital trading cards will be entered into a “sweepstakes” to win Trump experiences such as a zoom call, a dinner in Miami, or a cocktail hour at Mar-a-Lago.
We all remember when Facebook changed its name to Meta and began developing its own virtual world. Zuckerberg and company invested more than $24 billion in Metaverse just last year.
Although some have described the current Metaverse as a “lonely place,” some players are working to change that. Crypto House Capital, a digital real estate firm working on the first virtual skyscraper called Skylum, is one such player. Skylum, the world’s first virtual skyscraper, is the first step in their long-term plan.
The units in the skyscraper will be fully customizable and designed to meet the specific needs and interests of each owner. As described by Tomas Nascisonis, CEO of Crypto House Capital, these units can be anything: a home, an office, a meeting place, or a dedicated gaming arena.
The goal here is to provide each owner with a unique experience that makes them feel as if they truly own a piece of the Metaverse. Skylum apartment pre-sales have recently begun. The company is currently selling 50 units at up to 70% off. To obtain ownership, all you need to do is contact the Crypto House and make a deposit.
