LG is bringing NFTs to TV Screens

Korea-based consumer electronics LG has launched its marketplace LG Art labs which will let users discover, buy, sell and trade NFTs on LG’s smart TVs. It is currently available in the US and supports only those LG TV running webOS 5.0 or later.

LG Partnered with Hedera Network to offer an app that enables users to purchase NFTs via Wallypto, LG’s crypto wallet for smartphones. LG is also a governing member of Hedera Network which describes itself as the “most used, sustainable, enterprise public ledger for the decentralized economy.”

Hacker Steals $185K from Bill Muray’s Digital Wallet after the charity auction

Actor and Comedian Bill Murray’s recently completed NFT auction witnessed an attack by a hacker, in which 119.2 WETH(around 185k) was stolen. It was an exclusive, single-edition NFT on coinbase and the funds were being raised for a charitable purpose.

The hacker sent the stolen funds to a wallet address linked to the crypto exchange Binance and unionchain.ai. The hacker also attempted to attack other NFTs stored in the wallet but none of the NFTs were stolen. Murray’s team have filed a police report and are working with crypto analytics firm Chainalysis to catch the attacker.

FIFA announces the launch of the NFT Platform FIFA+ Collect

The world’s governing body of soccer, FIFA, has announced the NFT Platform ‘FIFA+ Connect’ launch for football-themed collectibles before its much anticipated 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The platform will run on the Algorand Blockchain, which works on Proof-of-Stake.

The platform will be available on FIFA+ and is expected to launch later this month. It will feature “affordable, inclusive, and accessible” NFTs representing memorable moments from football matches and iconic art and imagery from the FIFA World Cup and FIFA Women’s World Cup tournaments.

Johnnie Walker announces exclusive NFT Drop

World’s number one Scott Whisky, Johnnie Walker, is excited to offer whisky lovers the opportunity to own an extremely limited edition Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare Port Dundas Master Set. Johnnie Walker has partnered with Blockbar.com and Vayner3 (Web3 Consultancy firm) to bring the master set to collectors globally. There will be 75 limited-edition bottles.

The Ghost and Rare Port Dundas Master Sets feature a redeemable physical 1L bottle signed by Emma Walker and a corresponding NFT bottle. There will also be a unique digital art piece by award-winning generative AI artist and photographer Ivona Tau, and a behind-the-scenes “virtual storytelling experience”
