South Korean City Set to Provide NFT ‘Citizenship’

Seongnam, South Korea’s 12th most populous city, announced a public metaverse version of itself a few weeks ago.

Now, according to reports, the ‘Metaverse Special City Seongnam’ will be launched in the first half of 2023, along with a ‘citizenship.’

The government will grant residents of the metaverse city virtual citizenship. This citizenship will be issued in the form of NFTs, granting access to the platform as well as virtual access to municipal information.

The city’s construction will begin next month, with service results expected in April 2023. The platform is expected to be open to the public in May or June 2023, after the results have been compiled and reviewed.

Palm Beach, Florida’s infamous town, is getting its first NFT restaurant, ‘Vinyl Fish Club.’

Vinyl Fish Club is a private club for members only. This exciting NFT includes access to the Vinyl Fish Club. The restaurant itself is high-class and provides a lovely dining experience that reflects the NFTs’ exclusivity. And, with only 50 available, it is undeniably exclusive.

Some benefits include :

  • Access to members’ only events with other NFT holders.
  • Exclusive Dining menu for NFT holders.
  • Rare Japanese Whiskey and Sake Tasting events.
  • Access to private rooms, bottle service, and more.
  • Pop-up celebrity chef events.

Russian Bank Allows NFT Issuance to Clients

Sberbank, one of Russia’s largest banks, will allow users to issue NFTs.

This comes just months after the Russian government granted the bank a license to issue digital assets. NFT functionality will be added to the bank’s blockchain platform. Users will be able to issue NFTs directly from it as a result of this development.

This will begin in the fourth quarter of 2022, according to Sberbank Deputy Chairman Anatoly Popov at the recent Eastern Economic Forum.

Nonetheless, the bank does not intend to operate in isolation. Instead, it intends to work with organizations, such as art galleries and sports leagues, to launch NFTs.
